I think Elon’s Twitter is a meaningful improvement in social media for weakening advertiser influence alone. (Not to mention Elon’s values which have given better direction to Twitter.)

The overall criticisms coming from nostr seem super valid and point to the fact that Elon’s Twitter hasn’t solved many of the perennial systemic problems with centralized social media.

I do think that people here undervalue the short term importance of X. Especially the role it will play in America’s upcoming election.
