Its a weapon... Australia mines shitloads of high grade coal and iron - enough to be China's top supplier for both. They ship it in boats over to China, where the Chinese make steel out of it. Mucho greenhouse gasso, that. Why can't Australia make the steel and ship the steel over? Because their domestic communists label that as "bad for the environment" (it gets done anyways, in China). China benefits because inputs are cheaper than outputs - that's why stuff higher up the value chain is called "value add" and gets its own special tax - and China gets the steel cheaper and China gets the technical expertise from doing it, which benefits other industries. It's a lose-lose situation in every way for Australia. But Aussies are weak cowards and they can't handle the communists who rule their country, which is now nothing more than a Chinese colony. And the Chinese know it! I've had this conversation while in China, with Chinese friends. They know it and they regard Australia as their own possession.
