It’s always a question of perspective. We compare others with what we have acquired as our own standard. From that point of view, they might behave differently. From their perspective, it is we who might lack the expression of emotion and love. With an open mind, we learn that there are not disabilities but different standards for experiencing the human condition called life.

I’ve learned sign language for four years. Once you get a glimpse of the world that the deaf live in, you can’t help but be amazed. Sign language is the perfect way to express every thought efficiently. Our thoughts are visual and easier to express in a visual 3D language than in an abstract vocal language.

In my hometown, we have an institution that offers a workplace for what we call people with disabilities. Every person can work and lead a good life adapted to their abilities. This includes agriculture, farmers' markets, a coffee shop with their own produce, and manual crafts. I often have coffee there.
