The idea that there are constant reminders out there for people to โ€œbe happyโ€ even back in ancient times is telling of how weโ€™re not naturally wired to be.That happiness is something to be sought after and lived.

It already lives within you, but you gotta do things to activate it.

Honestly, I think happiness comes from contentment and gratitude

Yes. The Goldilocks of what enough is. It also comes from giving and reciprocating.

I agree, seeing the good in the small things.

Exactly

You have to pause sometimes and be grateful for the little things

I might be different. For me happiness is setting goals and achieving them.

When I donโ€™t have a goal I am lost and life looses meaning.

More and more I notice work goals donโ€™t do it first me. It has to be personal goals.

I don't think you're different. I also don't think there's a formula. Knowing what does is just as important.

I guess success makes you happy

To me, contentment is more important than success

To each his own

For me a precondition is exercise, biking and walking.
