Damn man. At the end of that whole exchange, no one got hurt (amazing) and his car 💯 got scratched and now this guy is getting ripped on the internet for just driving his car. Who is gong to pay for that scratch?! Seriously? Stupid way to protest. You know what it is? Because we dont even know what they are protesting! See how that works? 😅 We care about the guy in the car and the event that transpired, not their protest reason. 🤡🌎

It's completely misguided. This is why I called them entitled. A protest is meant to convey an idea in such a way that cannot be ignored. They achieve only half of that. Their entitled ego got them the "cannot be ignored" part right but not the "convey an idea" part.
I feel bad for the guy who got shoved into a tough situation with no easy solution. As far as I can tell, it ended with the best possible result for everyone. Could have all gone down much worse.
As the driver, his only recourse (in america) is to sue the protestors for damages to the car, loss of wages, and mental anguish. Probably won't get him anywhere though amd it'd be a stretch. In the end it just propagates a shitty, gameable, corruptable and often misguided legal system to begin with.

Exactly this. He cant do anything about it. In that situation I would rather just physically move the protestor and leave asap before they become more unhinged.
