Do you guys ever think that if bitcoin companies & moguls paid for marketing & scholarship programs it would be as popular as Ethereum is, which is inferior technology yet got positive brand recognition because a few billionaires paid more diverse groups beyond elite developers?
Discussion
(Elite developers are great! They’re just a very small part of the population.)
Absolutely. Bitcoin needs more sparkle. Also, "inferior technology" is so tough! Do you really think so?
I think Ethereum is more complicated. Complicated things are easier to break than simple things. Every time I ask a non-techie what they like about Ethereum they’ll answer something that is technically possible with bitcoin, yet socially uncommon. They *think* they prefer ETH but they actually prefer sparkle. 😝 I think bitcoin can be used in more diverse ways than it commonly is today. 🤔✨
What about Jack? But one example.
Bitcoin isn't popular because in bitcoin you can not scam.. so those millionaires in erc-20 tokens create that to groom you then to rug you.. https://nostrcheck.me/media/kid_btc/nostrcheck.me_cb1fa99d8a25d21ea60420a2789efed5203c8c5b223fde6d.webp

Bitcoin’s properties are its marketing campaign. We are working on building a multi-millennia monetary system. That’s what matters, and that’s why Bitcoin has already won. No amount of marketing or advertising will change the innovation of digital scarcity. In the end, it don’t matter. ETH will trend to zero against BTC just like every other shitcoin.
Bitcoin definitely lacks a proper marketing department. A well-funded non-profit devoted to messaging is badly needed.
imo that would attract the wrong kind of attention
You might be right 🤷🏻♀️ It just never ceaaes to amaze me how well that marketing strategy worked with all kinds of non-scammy people (in addition to the scammers, which are prevalent in associating themselves with bitcoin as well) 🙃
Nope. Bitcoin needs organic adoption.
