Forget about Ubuntu and PopOS for 5 min. Picking your Linux distro based on how well it (poorly) imitates MacOSX look & feel or how popular it is among Apple connoisseurs & podcasters is regarded. You deserve better.

BTW... You can switch desktop environment without switching distro, and you can have your 3 fingers touchpad gestures with any distro and D.E.
