As my World War II veteran grandfather told me when I was 12 at the breakfast table, "son if you're going to drink coffee, you are going to drink it black"
Why though? Does he think it tastes better or is black coffee viewed as more manly / patriotic?

Yeah definitely men drink black coffee , grandma used milk. Not trying to push anyone's buttons. Just relaying a story that has stayed with me and definitely had an impact on me as a kid
