Good question - I'm sure some people on Nostr can answer that.(Probably Lyn Alden-san or Gigi-san)

But i think in that case fees will become dominant driver of mining & for simple exchange transactions L1 like Lightning or something else has to become much more prevalent

I still am wondering if people have a motivation to maintain Bitcoin network after lightning like network got popular, and have no idea what could happen to Bitcoin-based network. Thanks for the insight.
