i was in Florida when the news came that Milton was coming and immediately half a block long lines for gas formed on every gas station and by next morning all the gas stations were out of gas.

i had to call like 10 different gas stations the next day before i found one that actually had gas and even then i didn't believe it when the guy on the phone said they had gas but they did - at that point i didn't care how long the line was - i filled up the tank and drove straight out of Florida.

well, by "straight out" i mean in constant traffic even though it was midnight.
