The point is that 'crisis' after 'crisis', people who stand for or against issues, are consistently divided further in order to accept a growing level of censorship and control from the state.
When an issue doesn't align with their views, they want censorship. Then, when an issue doesn't align with your views, they trick you into also wanting censorship of the opposing side.
The net result of this is the state gains more power by passing bills that sign these things into law, and the people collectively give up some of their rights every time this happens.
There needs to be a (at least perceived) perpetual state of crisis.
The war on drugs, the war on terror, the war on climate, the war on viruses.
They are the drug traffickers. They are the ones who facilitate and create terror. They are the ones who fabricate data and control narratives.
War is profit, and those who start wars tend to fund and profit on both sides, so it doesn't matter who you end up supporting, as long as you offer up your support AS JUSTIFICATION for them to go to war and profit from it - both monetarily and politically.
This is one of the tricks of the rich men.
