Good afternoon #Nostr fam.

Checking in to see how your first week of the new year kicked off?

Mine, I'll file as "merely interesting but busy".

Something I heard this week, I thought worth sharing. Paraphrased "you'll find personal growth when you become comfortable being uncomfortable". ~Some salesy type dude in a vendor meeting on Wednesday.

A couple different ways to interpret that. What do you make of it?

Have a great weekend all.

That was me all week long. Comfortable being uncomfortable.

Were you able to find some personal growth while in that space?

I think my default config has been to avoid those situations. But that comment has stuck with me the last few days. I'm not quite embracing the idea yet, but I'm peeking through that door a little bit.

Hm, I’m not sure what to make of it. Think I’m gonna have to stay humble and stack sats about it. Have a great weekend. πŸ€™

I think it points to a lifestyle and personality trait often referred to as "openness" to explore new things. I was quite comfortable in any situation when I was younger but I've lost openness as I've aged. But it did serve me well when I was young, so thanks for the reminder. Growth is a vague term can't say if I "grew" because of openness or not.
