I agree.
But the point of war is coercing populations into doing what you want.
Sufficient dominance of machines and capital over guts and brains could create the dynamic described, where machines wage war and humans can't meaningfully contribute.
I'm not sure I'd want such a world, as it would probably resemble The Matrix without the comforting simulation.
Fortunately, drones seem to be winding the clock back for now!
Look, here's how it will most likely play out in the long run, imo:
1. More and more people will grow tired of war. I'm already seeing many display this type of attitude around my neighborhood and others. It's become far too costly for the civilian population with the attainment of absolutely nothing in return.
2. Certain nations will cease to exist or merge with neighboring countries.
3. Corporate and government leaders will begin to stab each other in the back till the point of infrastructural implosion; something I believe we're already witnessing.
Can't find a single word I disagree with there. Unfortunately...
Personally, I think everything will accelerate much faster than we expect. When I say long run I mean 10-15 years; which I know doesn't sound like a very long-term time horizon. But, it's as Lenin said "There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen." 🤷♂️
