UTC is a way of saying the date line has to be somewhere and it happens to go through Britian but we all share the same time. Times zones are a submission to Britain because they say we all have to wake up around 0600 local everywhere in the world because that’s when the Brit’s wake up. UTC is the standard and I wake up around 1300 UTC.
