Got permission to gut the old gas heater in my place. It’s been unplugged for years and is severed from the gas line. Once I know the amount of space I can use inside, I’ll try to fit my BitAxes in there, ensure proper airflow with some fans I still have lying around. Let’s see if I can come so far that the radiator will heat sufficiently to bring some additional warms to the goldest spot in my house.
Discussion
What's the point of encasing the bitaxes, wouldn't it be better to just hang them on the wall?
That would cause the heat to just dissipate in the area surrounding the miner instead of heating up something from the inside that would heat up and distribute more heat on a larger surface, right?
I might have sleep through most of my physics classes, my assumptions could be completely off.

All of them operating in a hot space will probably reduce your hashrate, but if your going to fan them through your hvac properly might be kinda cool but not really sure. I just have a couple in my cold basement
That's where the fans come into play. There's also a tiny connection to the outside where the gas used to come in which makes the area cooler anyways. If it doesn't work I'll just revert it. 😌
Fun project regardless
At the worst, I've wasted some time and material and learned something.
Might be better off trying to get some cheap S9s.
I have a mate who has about 5 or 6 bitaxes running in his office & it heats that room pretty well in winter.
I don't think 1 bitaxe is going to give you much heat though.
It's 3 (or 4 if I repair the screw holding the fan) at 6TH/s. Will probably get two additional NerdAxe+ nest year.
