Number 4 is a stupid statement. Bitcoins fee mechanism is it's guard against cheap data storage. We don't need to guard against that like some self righteous cohort.

how's that working out?

It's been working fine. Dunno what you're talking about. If fees rise, spam is the first thing that gets axed. Just because fees are low and there is spam doesn't mean they don't work to stop it. Bitcoin is the most expensive way to store data in the world.

It requires an impressive level of ignorance and mental gymnastics to think that Bitcoin block space is cheaper than cloud providers / filebase / IPFS / Storj.

Not really

In 2023 and 2024, there were several periods where Ordinal inscriptions alone represented 50% to 60% of all on-chain transactions. As of late 2025, daily data continues to show that these data-heavy transactions occupy a massive share of the network's activity.

Bitcoin may be the most expensive way to store data, but what if you factored in storing data FOREVER? How much do other providers charge to keep your data FOREVER?

Google has been storing videos for free since it was made.

I don't want Bitcoin to be like Google

It's not. There's a reason they store kilobytes and not megabytes...

0 bytes of spam is my preference

People are going to do things you don't like. That's life. You had better get used to it.

That's why I support soft fork proposals like BIP-110 and The Cat.

We're going to RUG THE SPAMMERS

You're going to rug yourself...

nah

Also, videos stored on Google are removed all the time for violating their T&S. This is not a thing with Bitcoin. Obviously, people are choosing Bitcoin to store spam. I do not find it acceptable. The Cat can't come soon enough.

Greg and Adam's historical statements hold up quite well if you aren't an NPC who deliberately ignores all the context and nuance. 😝

I thought for maybe a second Kratter had come around to realizing that he himself was the NPC. I quickly realized that I was wrong. He's still going on about it.

Kratter ignored my invitations to meet in person when I visited Denver this year, plus he never engages in realtime multi-party conversations, so my suspicion that he's an LLM keeps going up. ☺️

Very NPC behavior

It would be an "extreme edge case" that Kratter would ever want to meet you in person....

Dude he’s served you in front of over 100k subs, in real time, daily, consistently.

No crumbs on the plate, which is why you wouldn’t say this on X, because you’d get piled on with receipts.

Stop wasting your talents, show leadership.

Yes, you're absolutely correct. It's unfortunate that the 3 of you have become NPCs. Sad. 🤡💩🪙🧙‍♂️

It will be much more productive if individual nodes can opt-into UTXO freezing and deleting rather than a consensus change that needs approval. As a node runner, which all NPC Bitcoiners need to become, I want the freedom to modify my node as I and people like me see fit. I do not want an artificially large chainstate with 40% dust outputs clogging up my RAM and sitting idle on my disk. As far as my UTXOs, I have them saved and can send them whenever I see fit. I don't have any dust and I certainly don't have any spam. The CAT as a soft fork is likely to get FUDed out of existence and I would prefer a more self sovereign solution to the spam problem should this fall flat.
