Not sure if this is still a thing but it is/was being worked on:
Gitworkshop.dev implements git stuff NIP-36. It has a cli (git plugin) that handles everything for you. It does use git servers but it pushes to multiple of them at once.
I'm currently working on getting GitHub actions to nostr so we won't need their infrastructure for that either.
