I haven’t use Phoenix Wallet much, but it seems like their “exit” from the US market right now is just removing new app downloads from the Apple and Google apps stores.

I deleted the Phoenix app from my phone and I was able to download in the US via App Store (because I’ve downloaded it before). I’m not really interested actually spending sats opening a channel, but nothing indicates in the UI that it wouldn’t work (unlike WoS, you can’t receive at all).

This seems like the softest “exit” possible. I guess time will tell.

Even if you have the app, you won’t be able to use their LSP and nothing will work

Is this stated anywhere from ACINQ or reliable source? I’m interested to see if lightning channels will be closed/blocked by IP address by ACINQ.

I haven’t seen it stated anywhere, but I wouldn’t count on it working
