My husband makes dewberry jam with the wild berries in our fields. I've had trouble growing blueberries here, and they dont grow wild here either.

yum! do you make a tea with the leaves? dewberry leaves and blackberry leaves i use to make an herbal tea for the kombucha
I have made tea with blackberry leaves, and it made a good tasting tea. I think they have some medicinal properties too.
also (and please tell me to bugger off on the unsolicited advise if you ever don't want it) but pine needle mulch around blueberry plants and buttermilk have done miracles foe my blueberry plants
