Was thinking, 15k, kids going to need cold storage lol
Whatever you amount you land on. Thinking it as setting a precedence. So if you did 15k. That tells them 1.5 hours of work is worth 15k. Kids naturally figure out how free markets work. So give it some real thought.
What else might she be able to do in 1.5 hours or less?! And is that work also worth 15k to you.
Yeah just did some math, looking back 1m sats is like 2hrs/day all summer. Greatly appreciate you insights just saved me losing my stack before they are 12 lol
I will also note the front yard was all she could do one night. It will also blow her mind I am paying 15/hr dollar bucks at $100k
ππΎ been there and learned some things along the way. Glad it was helpful. Mine is now 27.
The girls pick things up and naturally have a low time preference. I had to cut her allowance back bc she was saving more money then I felt comfortable with her having when she way only 10 y/o.
Growing up We were given our age a month, then lawn/ shovelling was a per event kinda thing.
When mine was 8, we lived in an mdu. I paid her $5 week to swep the hallways and clean the hallway windows.
What I didn't know is that she was also taking out the tenants trash bags on garbage day and they were paying her grab their trash and take it out the night before trash day. In a summer she had saved up over $500. She was 11 or 12 years old. Too much WAM (walk around money) at that age.
