Replying to Avatar Original But Not

So looking further into topics RFK Jnr has been speaking about recently. As much as I would like to think I’d not need to ever go down the abortion path myself, I will never forget the morning I woke up and America had turned the clocks back on women’s fundamental rights like half a century. I’m not sure how convinced I am of RFK’s proposed future endeavours for the historically oppressed people. Yes I totally agree with the answers that women should have the choice, however would not say this is choice would be a ‘tragedy’ and perhaps have more formulated ideas to more forward with women’s equality already..? It’s great to listen to others but surely at this stage in a presidential campaign you would have a greater idea of how to protect people’s rights? I feel strongly that the world currently is in dire need of being stitched together and some kind of ‘healing’ of harmful conflicts and tensions in the world. But I don’t feel the correct way to do this is to regress and instead lean further into the right wing just cos it’s easier to. I do not feel there is likely to be one country, political party, government administration, organisation etc completely and utterly morally flawless or free from corruption in the world. I feel what’s right right now is for all countries to be accountable for the ways in which they allow harm and conflict to continue. I do not think ‘healing’ means becoming less progressive. By no means would I have all the answers but surely the best beginning would be to focus on 3 significant aspects of honesty/transparency, understanding and a desire to do no harm. I feel what’s so important to remember is that everyone should have a CHOICE and this does not mean you need to make the same choice as others. People seem to love their freedoms, but we all need freedom of choice.

It is nice to see the humanity of a presidential candidate openly barefoot on a plane though, wonder where the inspiration to do so came from..?
