After meeting my husband, I started learning Korean, because my husband wants to master it, and Korean shows are amazing.

I don't read fast enough to keep up with all the subtitles.

So I figured I'd do the same as I did with English to get away from the same problem I had at 12 with not reading fast enough. I listened to so much English TV that what I'd been really bad at previously, finally clicked! (I was really bad at English 😅)

Having now started meeting Koreans on Nostr, I realize I've been skipping the reading part 😅 I can understand some basic things when they're spoken, not nearly enough to skip subtitles yet, but I pick up some words here and there! 😎

Hearing my husband have conversations with Koreans we've met at coffee shops, I've been able to follow along. However, when my husband spoke to his student, and he used more full sentences, I was lost 😔 Clearly I have more work to do!! 😅🤣
