Scales finished, epoxy done, blade sharpened and shined up.

My favorite knife I own was my Grandfather's. He was a professional machinist and spent some time making knifes as a profession. I inherited a straight blade about the same size as this one, but my favorite part about the knife is the scales (handle pieces). All he did was use two pieces of rectangles and barely rounded over the edges. It is bulkier than an average handle as a result and I wanted to extenuate that result in this build.

I find the thick handle to be incredibly comfortable.

Scales made from purple heart wood and finished with food grade wood oil.

Some day when I finish some cattle hides I'd like to make some sheaths.
