Bishop Leontie of Rădăuți, in the 14th century, faced a dire situation when a severe drought threatened his diocese. Moved by his people's suffering, he led them in fervent prayer and processions. He then had an icon of the Theotokos brought forth. As they reached a parched field, Leontie knelt, weeping and imploring the Mother of God for mercy. Suddenly, a spring gushed forth from the ground, providing water for all.

Lord, grant us leaders like Leontie, who intercede selflessly for their flock. May his example inspire us to seek Your divine intervention in times of need.
