This is so true. I have a working theory about this phenomenon: it's essentially a slow radicalization. The algorithms present content that keeps you engaged, often placing you in a slightly hostile environment, opinion-wise. As you try to resist and stand your ground, you slowly begin to drift in the opposite direction. You're compelled to form opinions on topics you didn't previously care about, and you shape these opinions in opposition to the subtly hostile environment. They support unisex bathrooms, you are against it. They support Ukraine, you support Russia. They say that they hate nazis, you become antisemite and Holocaust denier... It is a dangerous slippery slope.

In the passt I asked myself why so few leftists understand Bitcoin.
Satisfactory answer is that they don’t understand economics
Now I ask myself why so many bitcoiners are so far right? You could say“freedom“ but the right wants „freedom for me not for thee“
I’m yet to find a satisfactory answer
Discussion
It is quite literally eroding our society and further emptying the definition of left and right.
Totally. Where do you think it started though? Do you think it started happening around covid ? I have to make an AI analyze the change in tone of Bitcoin public figures that are talking since 10+years
