Merchants should be required to pass on credit card fees. It's ridiculous that we have cards giving 3% cashback, charging merchants 4%. There's cases where these fees even result in merchants losing money on every sale.
The whole thing is a scam only made possible by the duopoly position credit card companies are in.
Maybe banks and credit card companies can implement demurrage. Im sure you would love that.
It’s sort of a racket. Some merchants even get trapped by their POS providers, forcing the merchant to use the POS providers processor or “partner”, offering no options to change the processor, unless you want to swap out your entire POS system and retrain the entire staff.
