On Nostr, the ability to run your own relay is the key to owning your data and censorship resistance. It's really easy with Umbrel. The next best option from a censorship resistance perspective is to connect to some small relays of people you know. Larger relays and paid relays offer better visibility, but reliance on any particular relay would be the death of Nostr as an open protocol.
