Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their faith in Singidunum (Belgrade) during Licinius' reign. Ermil boldly confessed Christ, enduring torture while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly. Betrayed by his tears, Stratonic confessed his faith. After further torments, they were drowned in the Danube.
