I’ve run the math

& I majorly fkd up!

In 1999 I bought 1,000 shares of Apple stock for less then $1,000

Apple stock split 2-for-1 in the year 2000, so I then held 2,000 shares of AAPL

I sold all my AAPL stock around 2005 for $2.50 per share, just before a stock split 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’ve now had two decades of regret 🫤

If I had held steadfast in the conviction of my original investment…

bought 1,000 shares AAPL (1999)

(2000) 2-for-1 split = 2,000 AAPL

(2005) 2-for-1 split = 4,000 AAPL

(2014) 7-for-1 split = 28,000 AAPL

(2020) 4-for-1 split = 112,000 AAPL

112,000 shares of AAPL in todays value are worth… $19,600,000 🤯
