There's that "should" word. It's a protocol. The vast majority of developers are volunteers. The only thing nostr should do at this point is be.
*Could* someone build a client or relay to aggressively filter or otherwise shape what the user sees? Certainly. And if there's sufficient demand, someone likely will.
The protocol "should" nothing. It only is. As a community I think though *we* should improve tools to avoid showing decapitations and child porn to first time visitors.
Seems like an extreme hyperbole. Naturally, no sane person wants that. Likewise, I’ve never seen it nor heard anyone claim to see it here until now.
Better relays?
It's not extreme hyperbole. It did happen and sorry I won't search extremely illegal stuff now to proof a point. To assume nostr will remain free of this is to assume nostr already failed. Nostr is for illegal stuff - for stuff that oppressive regimes deem illegal.
