I've been saying for a while that X will become a #nostr app someday, but I wonder if YouTube will too.
It seems like one of those capitalist leviathans that require constant growth, because it's so expensive to store and serve so many videos.
If nostr takes off and other platforms start shrinking, I'm not sure if YouTube could find a way to continue affording their infrastructure, but one option would be to tap into nostr's growth by selling nostr-native video server storage space, or seedboxes.
Part of the challenge is that maybe those corporatists would rather kill the brand than let it be converted to something that doesn't give them so much control. Like, if it's not giving the same control anymore, just let it die.
