Hiked Chirripo this past weekend.

Hardest physical thing I’ve done in years. None of us were prepared as you can see by our suffering faces and lack of clothing.

So glad we can just look at this and laugh now.

Day 1 we hiked 14 km up to base camp which is 11000 feet or so. Left at 6am and arrived around 3pm. I didn’t sleep at all due to the altitude/minor anxiety about the next day knowing how cold I’d be.

Day 2 we all left at 3am for the peak. This might’ve been the coldest I’ve ever been with the wind and light rain. It was a 5km hike to the peak. We were met with no view at all.

We hiked back down in the freezing dawn (at least with proper light)

Then we had a hot chocolate or 3 at basecamp and headed down to the bottom. Which was somehow harder.

So happy to look back and laugh at this. It’s so incredibly bonding to do hard things with people. Shoutout to the squad. nostr:npub155c00a6mvtuxquc83lgdsgcz2zxfyulvs3k3janw7s2p06uzqezqw6dfkh absolutely blew my mind since she was sick the days prior but still se t it. nostr:npub18q204nzhrcrrz8875ytkpf8vk0eg649dc98xuqwsz65znph7z5asz07j7z nostr:npub1srmngyy0x7hv3nmyqg63fwdwy6724mf2z04cttf6sjpd5ytgk87qx0q0ge nostr:npub1qwrzcgr5nyhsq3xy02erxz563lg42je27jr2e7a3z5s5ag6qd7pqzy2hyu & nostr:npub18e3fa2qq2kgt0n0xrq9kv874v6mpte9pgemenvaw9tmwkrmkv52qgpr7cu who organized it all. @ (jimmy will be here soon and so will Anton)
