My buddy is a lil tape slut. He's got a pretty big collection of everything from the 70s on and a couple from today from the hipster bands who are making them now.
We have an offbrand Walkman that the kid recently discovered. We also have a dual tape module for a whole hifi/stereo setup. All in working condition with tapes for them.
That's badass. It's all hooked up? I mean, you could pop in a tape right now?!?
Iβm between audio cassette players π But I do have 3 vhs cassette players (1 primary and 2 backups) π

I've been itching to pull the trigger on a deck. I go back and forth between that and wanting a minidisc player. I have a problem with physical media...
I have a mini disc. Lol. It was a gift if my friends music. I hear they'll play on a computer drive, fitting in the smallest circle. I haven't tried yet.
The two new portables are by We Are Rewind and FiiO. Among the others, I have the FiiO and it's no Walkman but its not horrible. It has USBC which is nice.
The we are rewind one is not small. But it had Bluetooth if you are into that.
There are also $30 ish ones on amazon, but the FiiO I still like the best among the new ones.

We're looking for tape player fans here, and all I can think of is the wonderful association of βyacht for saleβ - if someone were to play old songs on a tape player and listen to them while researching the sale of yachts, this retro-mixed with modern style would be like If someone were to play old songs on a cassette player and study yacht for sale at the same time, this vintage mixed with modern style would be just like the Cyber nostalgia and money scene.
