I rode my bike to the river today - about 4 miles there and 4 miles back. On the way home, I stopped by the nature store and finally grabbed a watermelon I’ve been eyeing for a while. Managed to fit it into my backpack and rode the 4 miles home with it.

That weight on my back really got me thinking. People who are overweight - when they shed 10, 12, 20 pounds - that should be massively celebrated. Just carrying that watermelon for 4 miles made me feel how much of a difference losing that kind of weight must make.

When someone tells you they’re down a few pounds on their journey to get healthy, hype them up - it’s a huge deal and can change how they feel every single day.

Brooooo yes. As a person who lost 60+ lbs then did walks with a fraction of that weight 🤯🤯. It was eye opening as to why everything hurt out of the blue. I was not completely sedentary before the weight loss, I had a toddler I kept up with, but the energy level skyrocketed after the first 20 lbs.

Incredible. Love to hear that!

It was a lifestyle change I don't regret. 🫂

60+ is huge! Great job!
