Yea, fall of each year I put piles of shredded leaves in the garden, and they work them all winter so I always have RICH soil with a fluffy layer of 'mulch' on top each spring!

These are last years wood chips, and they've got a lot of life in them, so the chickens got tons of fresh bugs etc for all their hard work.

I'll likely cover the blueberry patch and raised beds as well to get all the biology into them!
