I may have been mistaken. I swear Hancock mentioned "claviceps paspali" but I'm struggling to find it. I do know that Hancock wrote the foreword to Brian Muraresku's book and in that they talk about "claviceps purpurea".

Claviceps paspali IS a thing but now I don't know where I got that from.
