lately i have found that i have to literally repair it as soon as i get it

oh yeah i got over those things ages back, 2021 i bought a condenser mic and bought a vintage harman kardon amp and onkyo speakers for my PC so i coud zoom without looking like a cyborg or feeling like a retard

but i'm talking about almost everything -

i bought a magnifying glass that the lens assembly just falls out with minimal force...

the endless stream of "mops" and "brooms" made with delicate aluminium tubes that can barely stand up to the amount of force that a 2 year old could exert on it

the retarded torches that don't have a simple momentary on (basically all of them) and the predominant type that have three cycle clicks where you get bright, dim and flickering, for those panic merchants who are to scared to walk along a dark country road without blinding the cars driving past

an egg lifter spatula thing that has a wood handle that is glued to the plastic instead of spending a few minutes to add a simple spring pressure tabs to the end of the plastic parts and gouging a small divot on each side so the thing just clicks in

household wiring for lights that uses maybe 0.5A capable multistrand shit-copper wire and the owner of this place didn't even consider this when buying a whole array of shitty LED light fittings that are designed to use solid core, 8A capable electrical wires

washing machines that barely last 5 years and develop short circuits that blow up the safety switch panel on the whole house and then not putting a separate switchboard panel in the apartment that they are renting out, and then bitching me out and basically refusing to pay me back my security deposit because their fucking place was so shit that i couldn't put normal fucking incandescent lightbulbs into the light fittings, because they are literally made out of plastic that isn't rated to handle more than about 40 degrees C without melting

and apparently, on that last point, it's now "law" in portugal, or maybe europe, that you can't sell normal light fittings that work with up to 100W lights for actual room lighting, for your safety, i'm sure

of course all of this is really just trying to find some way to deflect from the fact that the erosion of purchasing power continues to accelerate in decline and push that "responsibility" onto the people who aren't involved in running the fiat racket

and meainwhile also slathering EVERYTHING with the word "responsible" and nagging karen shit about recycling, which actually doesn't happen because recycling plastic is rubbish, and even the rubbish itself is toxic waste, and it's toxic waste even before it gets out of the factory let alone the "food" put in it and then we could start talking about the travesty that the food is becoming as well

so over it, i can barely go through a day without bumping into something that reminds me again what a shithole society the entire "first world" is becoming so quickly
