Are you using the client from f-droid? I have no bugs with it. But even if that was the case freedom is more important than a few bugs.

And you can't self-host, with simplex it's very easy to setup a relay

i also like #briar but unfortunately no of my friends uses it... works without servers...

Briar does not scale well being serverless, simplex is the best alternative IMO.
