I’m as prepared as can be but there are not many places you can escape to when dealing with 100 foot waves. Most of the buildings will be swept away. I’m about 5 mins away from an evacuation spot but I have doubts that it would hold up under the worst scenario. Evacuation by car would be difficult to impossible due to damage outside and probably a lot of other people trying to do the same. Mountains can slide too. My local park located on a nearby small mountain is not designated as an evacuation zone, most likely for this reason. Sucks, but it is what it is. nostr:note1zg95mqnkc4ue4jaygq7lev7vxdxqpjs5arzmgm4rxu5mrt6r72aspn27u9

If I disappear from nostr, the government got me, or a tsunami. 🌊

Yikes, stay safe

*browses used helicopters *

30年くらい前からずっと南海トラフ巨大地震が来ると言われている。

That means the odds of one are even greater now

その次は東京だ。

Tokyo would be fine. Plenty of tall buildings to escape to. Not so around where I live.

高層ビルは小さな地震でもめちゃくちゃ揺れるから怖いよw

君は丘の上に逃げるしかないね。

Yeah but the odds of them falling are pretty slow. I’m sure they model for the worst case scenario when building them

Seriously 😣

Keep a lifeboat and life vests handy I suppose

lol lifeboat won’t help. Have you seen what a tsunami looks like? It’s buildings, cars and boats floating your way; black water with all sorts of impassable debris, power lines, corpses, raging fires.

Hot air balloon 🎈

I thought it was lifted/ called off. But, don’t rely on me.

There’s no way to predict when such a disaster could happen. Our tech has limits.

I understand and appreciate the eventual threat, but I meant the immediate threat in the news.

I only saw the headline and didn’t read in depth. If it talked about the former, I stand corrected.
