Sadly the authorities haven't done anything to limit damage to the towns and properties. No backburning or very little.

😟 Were they too busy locking people down and demanding people to verify ID to go online to care about real things?
I feel so sad when I hear about things like that.
Back in 2018 PG&E (a power company) caused the city of Paradise to burn down due to not clearing around their powerlines like they'd been paid to do. After that, whenever there was heavy winds, they would just shut down the power instead of clearing the lines, cause I guess it was cheaper, but it really sucked for anyone who lived on their grid, cause it would be off for up to 3 days so a bunch of food would go bad, there was no heating or cooling using power, unless they happened to have solar installed already.
I'm sad to hear that Australia seems to be doing very similar Anti-Human things like California.
From what I am told, it’s a political thing, and the Greens have lobbied to reduce bush clearing that used to happen for “environmental” reasons
It was common practice to use controlled fires as I manage land for years
And now it’s not allowed
But it means the bush fire season is actually worse
Make it make sense…
I'm not sure they use any sense... 🙄
