i'm new. whats a zap and how come astral seems to be the only plat i can send lightning tips on? seems the others have the heart for a like button but astral doesn't.

Zaps are Bitcoin Lightning Tips. If enabled in your Nostr client you can click a button to instantly send sats to the author of the note as a tip / value for value if you found it useful, amusing, etc.

thanks kindly. once i figure out how to do this in iris i will. seems like certain plats give better/worse visibility to different users?

I’ve seen people saying it works in Iris. I try to be helpful if I can. In my opinion everyone should do the same. 🫂
