I think what's happened is that the tech bros no longer trust the woke elites not to throw them to the wolves, so they sided with the Trump faction. Neither the Trump faction nor the Silicon Valley elites are strong enough to beat the establishment singly but in alliance they might have a chance. But the OG coastal elite families are a giant crime syndicate and they're not gonna take an overhaul to the system of this magnitude lying down.

I think they lost before 2016 and they know it since then. Since 2016 the only thing happening till now is their pawns and the normies being informed about it. It just takes that long.
