What a gaslight. It doesn't "help" anything. The majority of the time, I'm criticizing stuff that I like because I want it to be better. Much like Atelier Ryza, I don't believe a single Atelier game has managed to surpass Atelier Ayesha to this day. And yes, it rubs me the wrong way that all people talk about regarding that game is Ryza's butt, only old Atelier fans talk about gameplay. This video presents one side of the coin, but it seems like it wants to completely ignore the other (much like those in the comment section are doing: criticizing people who criticize stuff they like because "the research explained it"), which is that there are people who critique pieces of entertainment in hopes of it becoming overall better. Things CAN be objectively bad.

Mysterious and Ryza/Secret are really great trilogies as well, but Ayesha will always be my favorite close to Meruru.
My favorite is Ayesha too but it may be a biased opinion because it was my first Atelier lol.

I think the majority of old Atelier fans agree that Ayesha is the best HD era Atelier, at least from what I've seen. People seem to love Firis and Sophie 2 as well.
