nostr:npub16amr0pgqzl8l57npcupjmv8j3055042g07w4qj4tu3zf4yd48nlsh96569 started working on this one
Making great progress too. Hoping to have a patch submitted to nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s by the weekend for review. But MIGHT slip into next week.
Just wanted to provide an update since I said “by the weekend”. That goal was not achieved. I have a few more things I need to wrap up, before I start implementing mute duration. Then I have to do a major testing session to make sure everything is working.
Still working really hard on this. And hoping to have the patch submitted for review sometime next week. But we’ll see how that pans out.
If anyone has any questions let me know.

Huge news on this! 🎉 I have submitted the patch for nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s to review. It’s definitely the most complicated patch I’ve submitted to #damus by far. So I’d be surprised if there isn’t a good amount of feedback and changes I’ll need to make. But I’ll hop on those as they come in, and hopefully we can get it across the finish line soon. If you’re curious, you can view the patch here: https://groups.google.com/a/damus.io/g/patches/c/gy7WlaGYRKE

nice!
I should also probably say. Time estimates in software development are almost always wrong from my experience. So “hoping” is the key word.
I’ll keep everyone updated if it slips beyond that. But I’m working hard on it.

nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9acI don’t know your GitHub username (or if you have one). But I just posted a comment here about mute duration on this ticket: https://github.com/damus-io/damus/issues/856#issuecomment-1885865084
I would love your thoughts since you didn’t a bounty on the issue. And I don’t wanna move the goalposts without your approval. However there are some major technical challenges with that beyond the original title of: “Mute note with presence of keyword”.
