Yes you can edit .. try #Amethyst .. it will create a new event .. and reference to previous I guess ..but as a user it doesn't matter to you .
You can do this, but it won't show up in all clients.
I kinda like the typos. In a world of AI bots, typos are proof-of-human.

Soon enough AI editors will start inserting typos to make it look like a real person wrote the note. For now, just enjoy your humanness. Only reply guys can’t look past typos anyhow.
