whats the mining of kind number? And why you expose this info?
By mining I assume you mean “meaning”? If so, the kind number is just a number that is set on every event to “categorize” it.
For example, an event with kind = 1 means that this event is a “Text” event and an event with kind = 4 means that the event is a direct message. This let’s clients process these events in a specific way based on how it’s defined in the protocol.
You can see a list of the current “standard” event kinds here: https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/#event-kinds.
Why do I make this public?
This data is not secret in any way. I share it because I love statistics and data.
using your realay now!!!! Thanks for your answer. Im learning how nostr works. Thats amazing
Happy to see that people use my relay!
And if you don't use it yet but want to, add wss://nostr.oxtr.dev to your list of relays!
For some reason its the only relay that works on my linode machine. Everything else resolves to ipv6 and never works. Very odd. My git hooks works because of your relay! Thanks!
Here is also a Grafana dashboard displaying the total amount of events by kind etc.

I wanted to show event kinds day by day and hour by hour(timeseries visualization) but I couldn’t figure out how to build the proper query. If there is someone out there with godlike SQL and Grafana skills, pls help!
