The increasing number of services that allow us to stack sats on lightning (especially p2p) are very helpful for privacy.

I’d wonder, in the long term, how folks are swapping back on-chain in a way that also guards privacy too. Either through loop, bolt exchange, wallets like Phoenix, or something else. Or just forget keep on lightning for future spending?

In my experience:

Most users have no idea about the technology behind bitcoin, how payments/money work, nodes or even ‚self custody‘.

They use WoS, Strike, Breeze, Phoenix, Blixt, Muun or whatever their bitcoin maxi friend recommended and they usually keep their #bitcoin in this one app they started with.

‚Swapping’ is something only the 1 % hardcore freaks care about. 🤷‍♂️

The hardcore Bitcoin enthusiast just have to follow strict/good utxo-management to keep their privacy intact.

Agree — we’re merely the modern beta testers for the future of money
