There’s a small part of me that thinks, “well, the North Korean government is psycho, and stopping them from making big payments is probably net good”

Then I consider that the North Korean citizens would probably be harmed more by being kept out of a global payment network, than the government would.

#nuance

The US government is turning pretty psycho aswell. I'd rather have them fight it out instead of handing 1 of them the key.

That's because you're one of the useful idiots.

Decentralisation of hash across nations a necessity

Cope conferance 2023. It will be 2100, bitcoin will be the only way to buy a house or and hamburger, and these people will still be having cope conferences.

So, deliberately cheap subsidised US electricity is a possible double pronged attack vector.

1 - Keep hash in where it can be controlled (keep your enemies closer)

2 - FUD ammunition, cheap juice = higher consumption = “Bitcoins boiling the world 🙀”

If they actually cared about emissions, they just drop electricity subsidies & add tax. This would be much better for decentralisation.
