During the last “high-fee environment “ in #Bitcoin I installed and tried #Green wallet in IOS iPhone. It looked nice I send sats to there from on-chain by #SideSwap

I also send to my #MutinyWallet from #Green by using #Boltz these are all fine. But whenever I open Green Wallet it either takes too long time to open properly ir doesn’t even open. I can’t even remembered what my balance was there it was too long time since it opened properly last time. These are not very new apps or something so at least I would expect them to open properly especially in a IOS device since it can’t be due to different hardware etc…

I don’t understand to be honest. Is this just me or a general problem with green?

I don’t understand what is the problem here at least you should show the app and open it properly and load whatever in the background so the user didn’t get the impression the app is completely unusable 🤷🏻

If you compare bitcoin devs to devs of mainstream apps you sometimes can only come to the conclusion that bitcoin devs are UX/UI beginners, on drugs or just retarded.

Haha that’s true. I still can’t understand how in the Bitcoin Core there is no way to choose “hey I already downloaded 550GB the whole Blockchain let me show you the location”. With slightest thing going wrong it goes back to okay let’s start all over again.

Also a good UX is not a nice extra or something it should be the very end goal itself especially for a mobile app. Or at least one of the biggest en goals 🤷🏻

It works fine for me, so that’s interesting. Have you tried disabling tor and catching app before it goes into loading. Also, try closing all apps first, restart the phone, and then try. Also try opening in airplane mode 🐶🐾🫡

I wouldn’t even complain if it was using TOR or something I use the most vanilla setting possible with the most vanilla operating system and hardware possible. So that is why it is strange :)

Try other options I described. And try turning off Help Green Improve too 🐶🐾🫡

Too much “creating accounts” and “logging in” for me, and, like you mentioned, waiting for 2-3 minutes before being able to use the app is out-of-touch with what users expect when using a #Bitcoin wallet.

Blockstream’s products never gave me that “Be your own bank” feeling.
