I built this with #mkstack initially.
But it's not technically self hosting, it uses your Blossom servers located on your profile or default ones if not found. Unless you host your own Blossom. But again these are just 60 seconds audio messages, not designed for full blown podcast episodes.
I’m noticing something strange when recording Yaks on my phone using the YakBak site. The first second of my audio is quiet and then it picks up. I’m recording with AirPods in. Maybe that’s it?
Also, it seems hard to find replies to top-level yaks. I had to go into Nostur to grab the nevent for this one.
Neet. I understand. Impressive.
I can now see longer files being awkward as users will expect a streaming service like user experience.
